He simply understands the Zeitgeist, namely a world where people read less and less, for example see his willingness to talk philosophy within genre fiction classics, the American culture he comes from that is obsessed with muh practical practicality of pragmatism, and most importantly he learned from Socrates to adapt to his audience.
