My brother, who went into blue-collar work and who my dad trained to follow in his footsteps, is now fucked because my dad's awesome job got bought out by a conglomerate, eagerly pushed my dad's generation into retirement, and immediately outsourced the entire company to India. I have a garden and that involves manual labour. However, I reap all the benefits of my garden and can use the seeds and stuff again the next time. I am not being exploited and the means of production are seized. It is also hard work, but definitely worth it.
