Why do you hate Stephen King so much?
I think he is a good writer, not the best of the world or something like that, just a good one. So... from where comes this hate? Because he's overrated?
After some serious self-insight regarding your question, I've concluded with the idea that my latent homophobia makes me unable to appreciate Stephen King, and I've come to terms with it.
his books dont have enough hot cocks in them
/lit/ only likes long dead foreign authors or meme authors
King is neither

Explain the why, man. I'd like to figure out it.

Yeah... It makes sense now. It seems to be a hipster complex, if its main stream is garbage.
>books are overly long, you don't need 1000 pages to tell a story about a killer clown
>re uses the same tropes over and over(Maine, alcoholic character, writter character, wise black character, over the top bully character)
>thinks giving a character a parent/ sibling who died young equals character depth
>ruins good premises with deus ex machinas
>writes mediocre pulp horror, then acts like he's the fucking arbiter of literature or something

His characters and dialogue show me that he's never had friends who could banter. That's literally my only reason. When I read him I just think "Clearly he's never gone outside, therefore I don't care what he has to say."
