I live in a small new hampshire town, our local coffee shop is small business owned and used to be apartments so its has tons of littles rooms all over the place to sit in. The couches and chairs are huge and comfy and as soon as I drop my kids off at school I head over there and read 100 pages over a couple lattes next to the fire, and sometimes doze off.

I order my coffees from Coffee Review magazine based on overall rating every three weeks. I prefer Sumatran or El Salvadorean Geishas, but Kenyan coffees have a wonderful bouquet as well. I only make my coffee in a french press with water that has cooled from boiling for 30 seconds (dont want to overboil). I then immediately grind my beans for 10 seconds in a high power ceramic burr grinder. I put the coffee in the french press, and then add 2 tablespoons of water and stir, to pre-bloom the grinds. Then I add the rest 1 minute later, and let to steep for 7 minutes. On the first blend I take my coffee black in order to fully appreciate the taste and nuance and nose. After that I invariably add pure cane sugar, 2 tablespoons, and 2 tablespoons of light cream, organic only. I recently purchased a Bonavita SCAA (Specialty Coffee Association) approved percolator, which touts itselfs as maintaing temperature throughout the brewing process to better blossom the grounds, but it simply isn't the same.

Yes, but I've taken to reading instead of sleeping so coffee is a bad idea. I read from about 11 to 3 most nights and it's really wearing me down, but I'll kill myself if I stop. I'm thinking of building up a home gym and lifting for an hour instead.
