I feel like I've been tricked by /lit/ again. I'm 50 pages in, does it get any better?

(((les pensées profondes))) meme, he tries to be very intellectual but fails
I've expected something harsh and brutal, critical commentary on humanity and modern times, so far it's none of the above.

>I've expected something harsh and brutal, critical commentary on humanity and modern times
So a book is bad if it doesn't adhere to your (retarded) expectations?
>>8821119
no, maybe there is someone who like tumblr-core books, I'm not saying it's bad, I've just expected something different from a book named after mein kampf and opinions on lit
>>8820310
>reading it in Polish

On the off chance that you're still monitoring this thread, the answer is yes. The first 50 pages were a bit of a slog for me, but from there it flowers into something magnificent. By the end of the book, you'll be glad you read it.
For what it's worth, I think Volume 2 is even better.

i was hooked by page 20. maybe you just have shit taste, kid.
>>8823042
I got to page 100 yesterday and I'm kinda hooked already, thanks. I like that I can relate a little bit to his relation with father and to the small things like sitting in the exact same place on a bus everytime. I'm glad I haven't stopped.
