I often wonder whether I should have pursused a career in academia. It seems so cozy despite the job insecurity and lack of social relevance. Right at this moment I could be walking across campus in a thick overcoat clutching books to my side and noticing a qt freshman girl smiling at me in passing. Instead I am sat in a fluorescently-lit, warm, loud office with the radio pumping dance tunes and my eyes feeling tired and my coworkers gossipping or reading clikckbait online while I listen to Death Grips and pray that I be struck with some illness capable of rendering me justifiably unemployed.

Pointless really. If you really cared about being a teacher you'd make a youtube channel. Otherwise you're just embracing mediocrity while encouraging other children to transcend it. You know what they say, those who can do, those who can't teach.

Millionaire would be nice, but I'd be very much happy to make just $40,000-50,000 a year. That should be enough to get a quiet little home, begin building my firearm/ammo collection again, always have something to drink, as well as of course electricity and an internet connection. Cutting down wood can save money on heating (especially during the Winter), hunting/fishing can save money on food, and buying liquor instead of beer will save money on muh liver-pickling. I'd also quite like to have a vegetable garden again. A big one. Grow potatoes, carrots, cabbage, turnip, beets, and so on. Who knows, maybe I could make enough to sell some to neighbours, or at least give it for free to help local relations. Perhaps make a few drinking buddies.

Oh, as for being a writer, I've self-published two books. Self-publishing however, it would seem, is like every published work is a day spent digging with a shovel. Just about every day, you'll end up with nothing but dirt, but just hoping beyond hope that one of these days of digging will unearth a valuable mineral, oil, a rare fossil, or SOMETHING that could make you some money, because God damn you love digging but you want to make some money out of what you love to do, as low a likelihood as that may be.

NEET. Applying for comfy part time jobs. I'm pretty much fucked for the job market but I don't care. I can live with working entry level jobs my whole life. As long as I can afford my own small place. I don't need much money.
My ambition is to amass an apartment of books. Own multiple house rabbits. Set a date for my suicide and follow through with it (thinking 40 atm)
>>
>>8820350

>>
>>8820350
Do your research on rabbits. They are basically cats that try to commit suicide constantly. You have to "bunny-proof" your entire house down to like stapling all he lamp cords to the ceiling because they'll try eat ANYTHING and immediately die from intestinal blockage. Very finicky pets, major commitment.

>>8820426
Already got a rabbit and yeah he fucks shit up constantly. I never leave anything dangerous where he can get it. I considered the possibility of him jumping up to the lower bookcase but they are just paper so I wasn't worried, plus he left them alone for 2 months until one day he went at it and chewed up a couple of Stephen king novels I had strategically placed as a sacrifice.

>>8820441
Yes :(
>>
>>8820480
>Stephen king novels I had strategically placed as a sacrifice.
that's just brutal. i don't think even kind deserves to be chewed out by a wittle bunny wabbit,
>>
>>8820480
I'm sure you know about how temperamental their digestive tracts are already but just in case: Get a specialised rabbit vet, figure out where the nearest 24/7 vet that specifically can handle rabbit specialty stuff is, and remember that gastrointestinal blockage can kill a rabbit in hours. They will just up and die on you.

Sorry for the lecture anon. I just feel bad for rabbits.
>>
>>8820493
>kind
king*
worse for him, even his name doesn't come out right now, lol.
>>
>>8820495
S'alright man I appreciate your concern. I share the worry for rabbits because as a kid we had some and looking back on it were weren't the best owners, badly uneducated about a lot of stuff. The guilt of it has made me want to do much better this time around.

Also I live in a country where even shit vets know how to look after rabbits. They aren't considered exotics here.
