How do you transport your books without damaging them?
Recently bought a pretty old and worn out book, shit's pretty cool but I'm afraid to take anywhere on my backpack since it feels like it would disintegrate if I'm not careful enough. Normally I'd just toss my books in there and not give a fuck since a little damage on the corners won't really do much but I seriously can't do that with this one.
Any tips?
Who cares nigger, we're not in antiquity anymore, books are entirely disposable
Buy an e-book like a normal person already
I put them in a ziplock bag. It seems to protect the corners.
wrap it in duct tape

I wouldn't take a fragile book around that way, but if you always keep a thin hard book in your pack (I use an old French Smurfs book) to take damage, you can usually get away with just sliding the valuable book into a plastic bag and putting it in the laptop slot. Otherwise, go to an art supply store/dollar store/Staples and get a plastic pencil-case of appropriate size.
Pic related: my oldest book. Calfskin bindings get fragile after two centuries.
>order paperback books from Amazon
>they come already damaged
They don't even try to protect paperback books at all. Only hardcover books. This also especially applies to comics as well. Even brand new they will come in shit condition.

Why are you buying new copies of books from Amazon when their other company Abebooks sells the same books in nearly the same condition for a 1/5 of the price?

Because i've switched to ebooks and I don't know what Abebooks even is.

You should use libgen for ebooks and Abebooks for physical books.

Still, I like the way your post ended in 8122. Weirdly close. What's the book?

See if one of your local libraries can rebind it. Might cost a bit, but it's a good solution for used books you really care about.
