his prose is very simple and working class type but he had some very solid ideas that could legit fuel paranoia

plus it's not like ''ramblings of a mentally ill person'' are necessarily bad, i really liked The Realms of the Unreal and that is far more mentally ill than PKD

Man in the High Castle, Ubik, and A Scanner Darkly are my favorites of his. I like PKD because he chooses to not get all muddled up in "hard sci-fi" lingo like a lot of other sci-fi writers. He's just wants to tell an interesting story with philosophical depth to it. I may be a little biased though, so who knows.

I'm not familiar with exegenesis, but you could just read Descartes for some of that good "life is a simulation" jumbo.
