>being this pathetic
Yes, it happens to me every few months, where I have to take at least a 1 week break. I panic and worry that I'll suddenly lose all interest in reading, then it suddenly comes back and I'm good to go.
force yourself desu lol that's what I do. unless you're tired then just take a nap

A one week break is nothing, I sometimes take a few weeks or a month off. The bug always comes back.

I spend almost my entire day shitposting, I have completely lost control of my life. I hate it but I can't break free.

How is that gonna help me not be addicted to the damn computer?

I am actually serious and it is ruining my life
I really wanted to start Eliade's "History of Religious Ideas" today, only managed to read the preface while taking a shit. If I can't even manage to read, there's no way I can return to any of my actual hobbies and interests.
My thinking process has deteriorated too. Extremely fragmented, becoming more and more incoherent.

How achieve this

Honestly, try starting by just going for walks. Don't even worry about reading, just go for a 30 minute walk outside and relax. Walk 15 minutes one way, turn around and come home. Do this every day, at whatever time is convenient or comfortable for you. You may even want to go for a longer walk. It's good for the body and mind.

try reading middlemarch.

are you a neet? im kind of jealous. anyway, you might want to start with some more low effort activities. you shitpost all day bc it takes literally zero brain power. what makes you think youre going to turn around and suddenly start reading some complex literature? start slower. read blog posts. read genre fiction. read game reviews. who cares

No I go to school, but I pretty much only go if it's something mandatory.
Other than those few times a week I have to go to class, all I do other than shitpost is cook, sleep and lift.
I did actually try to read some blogposts today funny enough, some guy was posting about his blog on /fit/, it was actually pretty interesting and I actually made quite a few effortposts before the mods deleted it. Actually reading his blog though, it took me like 4 hours to read one post.

Might actually be nice to just walk for no reason, there was just a lot of snowfall today so perhaps a little bad timing.
