Alright /lit/ I'm going to my local used bookstore tomorrow and I'm looking for some good scifi and fantasy books. I was going to get Dune las time I was there but they only had the sequels, are any of them good?
They're alright, but I wouldn't read them unless you've read the first.
You just won't understand what's going on.
Also check out William Gibsons sprawl trilogy, and most anything by Philip K. Dick will be good as far as scifi goes. They're entry level, but by no means bad.

I don't mind entry level. I may as well be entry level anyway, I don't read as much as I think I do.

Sequels, good.
Prequels, BAD.
OP here. This is all I ended up getting. I'm a sucker for Sword and Sorcery stuff
