Recommend me must-read courtesy books.
I have developed a huge interest in proper behaviour, etiquette, way of speaking, way of carrying yourself.
How should a member of the high class act? Imagine the Renaissance, it was pompous but right now class has disappeared.
anything jane austen.. or by any women probably

I tried reading Emma but that was way too much. It was the most condescending tea party I could ever imagine.

If you're trying to be more social and make friends, this isn't going to work. Acting "high class" is just gonna make you look like an asshole.

I gave high class as an example - have you seen a member of it tell dick jokes, burp and be a retard in general.
It has more to do with my desire to develop a more mature behaviour, with a risk of sounding like a pretentious douchebag, I have outgrown my friends' interests and behaviour. I cannot have a serious conversation with them about a serious topic, let alone discuss opinions without a shitstorm of inside jokes coming my way. They introduced me to a few people that have this weird ''mature'' aura to them. When I watch my friends speak to them it's like watching a child speak to his mother. I have started hanging out with them more so that's why I am interested.
Read Henry James. As a Realist, he is very concerned with milieu and social customs. Read Daisy Miller: A Study to start with.

have you read Debrett's guide to etiquette?
it's the standard work on the subject

This is a start, I suppose. But if you weren't bred with etiquette, chances are whatever you do will read like a poor imitation. Have you ever been to a cotillion?

this honestly, this wont help you socially, i dont really truly see the importance of it anyway. Are you trying to come over as more mature to be taken more serious?
The Unique and its Own so you can see how spooked you are.
