is it worth reading a book if you know how it ends? Most notably the death of the main character.. i know caring about the plot is a meme but gosh darn it im a sucker for a good meem ya know?
If the book is Anna Karenina then yes because her story is the shit part anyway
If it's not then you know this spoiler is nothing to get mad about

you'lll only miss out on one of many things a good book has to offer
>reading for plot

There's a reason we don't just read Wikipedia plot summaries instead of reading books, anon.
>missing out on a good book because you know only one detail of the story
do you even read anything thats not fantasy trash

Do you say that because you're reading Exit the King?
I advised it to the last person who posted with that picture this week
Cervantes mentions it himself, it's no secret or twist that Don Quijote dies.

No but I am that person. I wouldnt count that particular example given that his death is such a large part of the story that its literally the title.
Was an interesting read though, as I was 100% sure i was going to die at three times in my life (Lyme disease, Kidney failure, and some bathtub street acid. never again) so it was somewhat relatable.

If I remember correctly you wanted to experience some "existential crisis", given what you say you already had some occasions
Anyway yes it is worth reading a book knowing how it ends, a good book let you re-read it and always find new things
The meme is not caring about the plot
You'll know the end on your second and third reads anyways, doesn't matter.

I hope you die in pain for writing this.
