Its the sequel to his previos book "If this is a man"
in "If.." Levi recounts his experience as a prisoner in Auschwitz up to the point ofthe Nazis losing the warand The Truce is about his long journey back home from Auschwitz, all the way through europe and russia.
The books are autobiographical and they mimic the Divine Comedy in structure.
Usually I find WW2 stuff to be really boring but I love the truce, I like his thoughts about humanity and dignity, how to feel appreciation for life after having your body and soul destroyed.

World War 2 is my favorite point of study in history, and it's the most intriguing war for me personally.
