What are some patrician books that are good for younger readers?
My best friend's 12 year old sister has gotten into reading recently, what should I recommend that isn't a shitty YA series?

Start with the Greeks.
The Little Prince was my favorite book but I think that was even before 12. She has probably already left the dreamy child stage and is becoming edgy. So the Greeks should do.

I remember liking Watership Down a lot when I was younger, along with other classic fantasy like LotR. I think it's probably best to start kids off with fantasy, maybe mythology as well.
