I think there isn't really a clear cut boundary between romanticism and modernism. At any rate, many romantic ideas of art persist to the present day. Anyway I'd recommend Wallace Stevens.
Hamsun, except he started with symbolist/modernist leanings and became a neo-romantic.

Conrad is an important one, though he was sort of operating in a fusion of romanticism and realism.

It's neglected today but Robert Louis Stevenson's Samoan work like The Ebb-Tide is a key precursor to Conrad and a really interesting case of proto-modernism from a writer generally thought of as ultra-romantic.
