I'm making a CD for a girl I like and want to enclose a poem along with it. Does anyone have any good suggestions? I'm leaning towards this love sonnet by Keats;
BRIGHT star! would I were steadfast as thou art—
Not in lone splendour hung aloft the night,
And watching, with eternal lids apart,
Like Nature’s patient sleepless Eremite,
The moving waters at their priestlike task

The first poem I ever fell in love with. Tbh if a girl doesn't like Keats then she's not worth my time.

I've given two girls poetry collections, the latest after only meeting her like three times. 75ish poems about her in a self-published hardcover book.
It worked out great and we are still dating. I am fucking crazy though.

Just write her something like four lines. Something small and not so obvious but something she has taken notice of herself. Maybe the way she walks or blocks the sun from her eyes. Don't confess your undying love. It's not interesting. And don't use someone else's words. Your shit ones will be more meaningful
