Let's start a writing prompt:

The tortures of Hell are unbearable for the first few years, but after a while people get used to them and Hell becomes a social club for the damned. You, a common sinner, are socializing with some of history's greatest blackhearts.

"Thanks, Hitler." I smiled as the man slid me shot. "Nein, mein friend. No thanking among friends. How is the Spitrealm?" he asked.

"Oh, boring. To be entirely honest. Made a friend. His name's Jay. He's cool enough I guess. Used to be child mo-"

"Nein, Rika. Remember, out with our past selves.."

"In with our new beginnings. I know. It doesn't matter what he did when he lived. We are all equal and good here. There's something else I want to discuss.." I hesitated.

Hitler stopped wiping a glass and stared at me expectingly. "Well. This, Jay. He asked me out. And you're the only proper friend I have here. I need your advice." I blurted.

Hitler's face broke into a wide grin. "Chandrika Duralakshmi, that's excellent news! Spare no details, tell me everything." He rushed and stopped himself with a gasp. "Did you tell him no?"

"No! Yes. I told him no, but said I gotta think about it." I drank a shot. "Look, Hits, I'm out of my element here. I wasn't even dating material when I was alive, what do I tell him?"

Hitler looked at me, eyebrow raised. "Listen, Rika. You have to ignore your success and failures as a living being. You are free now. Maybe alive, you weren't dating material. But here, you can be anything you choose to be. Look at me? I waz ze mozt famous one here! Everyone who had recently died comes here, to look at me. But what am I here? I am a proud bar owner and bartender. Zese people. My patrons. I do not care what they did or what they were when they lived. Zese people are mein people, Rika. And you are a true friend. You had a rough life, I am sure. But here, you choose a new path, free of past choices. So please, search within your heart. Zu you like this Jay? Go to him, be happy. I will stand by you."

Tears welled up my eyes. I reached for his hands across the bar and held him tight. "Thank you." I said, my voice cracking. He smiled kindly, "No thanking among friends." I nodded and left the bar, back to Spitrealm.
