Alright, so, I have a wordpress thing where I post short stories I write, but obviously since I don't tell anyone about it/advertise, I get zero feedback and don't feel like i'm progressing, or even if the stuff I'm writing is fun to read for anyone except me.
A friend of mine says I gotta start writing shitty fanfic, post that to wherever to get a fanbase, then I can drag them over to my shitty OC.
Did I just say a forbidden word? Or is there a place for shitty fanfic when you're just getting started?

How about you just don't do that at all and find a a site that isn't just wordpress, but rather one where people go out of their way to read things like Medium.
Or you can not be lazy and actually start networking your site.

I usually hate writing descriptions, and that was my first real attempt at doing it properly, probably not surprising it failed.
