>Miguel de Cervantes' classic novel will soon become a Disney movie
>The studio has assigned the Don Quixote adaptation to screenwriter Billy Ray, of The Hunger Games and Captain Philips
>Disney honchos want the movie to have 'madcap and fantastical' tones reminiscent of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies

>get ready for the spin-off television series, video game and the "revised edition" of the book that's "based on the hit movie" and "updated for modern readers".

Äaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Why do you care
Let me guess. The knight guy is now a female, her manservant is now black, the donkey can now talk (but only in quips), and the windmills really are giants.
>>8628317
>her manservant is now black
all the rage of sjw if you dare to make a black servant
i have a better idea - don quixote is a moor guy i.e. basically black, sancho is a cross-dressed girl who fell in love with him but was to shy to clearly express it, and don quixote was too concerned with reading of imaginary love to notice her real one. she suffers when he begins expressing his feelings to a semi-imaginary dulcinea del toboso but eventually everything settles, he realizes the truth, fells in love too and then they marry. so cute <3
oh and they have so real magical adventures too
