I've decided that I'm finally going to get serious about learning French. The best way I learn is reading, so do you guys have any recs for beginner level books in French? Maybe in the elementary school age range...

Le Petit Prince, of course.

I actually have a board book version of this in English and French that's for babies, but whatever. It's simple.
just watch Wakfu with the english subtitles.
hero malgre tois!

that's way too mean for babies though since it promotes children's suicide by snake
and yes it made me mad, dessine-moi un mouton, damn

I always assumed that the snake represented Death and le petit prince told the snake to fuck off.
I wish I had someone to talk to about Le Petit Prince. It's such a good book but it's considered a children's book even though it's an adult book disguised as a book for children.

>– Tu comprends. C’est trop loin. Je ne peux pas emporter ce corps-là. C’est trop lourd.
"my body is too heavy to take it with me..."
the snake was a kind one who helped him with this little problem, he didn't even cry out:

I meant more this line when the snake first meets le Petit Prince.
bracelet d’or :

I always assumed that the bite implied at the end that it was supposed to kill him but he later met the author/plane pilot and was therefore fine.
Hmmm, unless I read that wrong and that the snake bite le petit prince during the current events after he met the author/plane pilot.
Yeah, I misread that, goddamn now i'm mad too.
