In pretty much every liberal circle these days I see people going on and on about "bodies" and "autonomy" in a really grating, autistic way. They presumably all took the same exact classes in college, so who does this usage of these words come from?
Is it Foucault? I'm guessing it's him because it seems like the kind of faggotry he'd get up to even though I've never actually read by him.
Capitalism has put bodies under erause.
Language constructs female bodies.

I've seen MFA types use it in completely different places.
I've noticed this too. I don't know if Ta-Nehisi Coates started it, but I'm sure no one has done a better job of popularizing it.
I think it's poor writing. Talking about "plundering black bodies" and etc. depersonalizes violence to me.

"Black bodies" is a meme associated with Ta-Nehisi Coates, who's one of those bitter house Negroes propped up by affirmative action, white guilt, and his own resentful envy for whites. It doesn't mean anything besides pitying self-regard, basically a more pretentious way of saying "Massa" in an exaggerated Negro accent.
The term is designed to invoke remorse over the Negro's historical status as a dumb commodity capable only of work, sort of like a donkey referring to himself as a cart horse. It's simply another Negroid method of willful self-marginalization and doesn't merit anybody's attention.
