Hello /lit/, I want to read Kafka's "The Metamorphosis" which translation would you recommend?

The translation to a beetle.

The German one.

That's the one I wouldn't recommend. Kafka wrote to his publisher that the insect thing shouldn't be stated directly. So Lloyd or Crick or I think whoever did the Metamorphosis and other stories one.
Beyond that they're all equally as bad since Kafka translates badly.

"One morning, when Gregor Samsa woke from troubled dreams, he found himself
transformed in his bed into a horrible vermin"
it's a translation by David Wyllie and seems decent enough.
I purposely avoided any translation refering to him as a cockroach though I'm aware that Kafka translates badly but I have no plans of learning german yet.

I want to fuck that cockroach.
