How to get into Beckett? Should I start with Murphy, the trilogy

I'd say start with his plays for the simple virtue they're quite short generally and you get a sense of his project. Then read the trilogy which I would argue is actually the real heart of his work despite his reputation primarrily as a playwright.

you could also try reading his short prose, which he saw as the truest expression of his aesthetic project, and realize that the only people who genuinely enjoy beckett are edgy misanthropes (backed up by unfortunate personal experience)
