Do classics often get rewritten, cut down, censored? Who's the most reliable book retailer? I'm concerned I might not be reading the full original book, and I want to avoid that.

holy shit that image is reddit

Do you disagree with it?
I wouldn't consider those books Classics, but most often raw formats are available on Columbia or MIT websites.

>20 books
>only 2 written by non-anglos
>only 1 non-english book
epic anglocentrism
>Do classics often get rewritten, cut down, censored?
No. There's the swedish version of Pippi with one changed phrase, and older translations of Aristophanes tone down the fart jokes, but otherwise no. Are you from /pol/?

So it contains some groaners and entry-level stuff only. Yeah. It's a starter kid. Reddit is limited to the starter level. Problem where?

>Are you from /pol/?
No, I'm just paranoid.

It's the "starter pack." It (not often enough) stops posts asking "I haven't read a book since high school and want to get into good literature. What do I read?" type stuff. It's entry-level. That's the point. And like someone else said, it's "Reddit" because all of Reddit it entry-level.

Of the ones in your pic, the only things you have to look out for are American editions of Clockwork Orange (last chapter often removed), and Mark Twain (nigger often removed)

I would quite literally think less of the man who believes American Psycho is anything more than vulgar garbage fit for edgy seventh graders.

Do you also think Swift meant the Irish should eat their offspring?

>"Why is entry level stuff on a starter kit?????"
