I like turning on some post rock (or really anything ambient), but i want to know if anybody else does it

Yeah. I like j-core
>>
Drone, but that's it.

Nah I can listen to music when I read, it's distracting. It is okay when I write, though it has to be something softer and ambient.

The Caretaker if I'm reading Sebald or someone similar; classical (most commonly Chopin) for anything else. Silence is preferred, but sometimes there's just too much background noise. Speaking of which, Vomir if there's too much (background noise).

Instrumental sometimes.

When I do Particularly Hindustani classical sitar music (Ravi Shankar) as it centers and focuses the mind (to me at least).

I listen to Skyrim's overworld music or Tchaikovsky

I also listen to post-rock and ambient while reading, but only as noice canceling.

I listen to ambient music sometimes if it's fairly easy reading. If it's too dense I need silence. I usually don't listen to music when I read either way, though.

I cant stand it to hear people talk, while im reading
>>
Only if it is ambient/ish (like that "pop" album, idr the artist) or really repetitive like person pitch or saw 85-92.
I can never focus with classical.

Fuck The Caretaker and his shitty, lazy music.

The Ambient series by Brian Eno is a good starting point. I like 2 the best. The Disintegration Loops by William Basinski is also really good for reading, sleeping, or whatever else, especially if you put it on at a really low volume.

I play this in loop at 33% volume in MPC and turn down the headphones' volume to 2%, it's relaxing, though it also has a personal meaning to me, so, it might not work well for you.
