there's like 30 books on different topics.
I'm trying to read all of the ones from antiquity -> romanticism. i like them a lot.

Thanks, I'll check them out. Some people on Reddit recommended me Art Since 1900 by Hal Foster and some others, thing is I'm afraid that it's too postmodernism leaning. Can anyone confirm?

Art since 1900 is THE book about modern, especially contemporary art, but it also covers two huge volumes.
If you're interested in something more handy, Max Imdahl was one of the first art historians to work with and establish modern art in academia. I could also recommend Arthur Danto's 'Transfiguration of the Commonplace', which deals with the classic "Modern """art""", amirite? Any idiot could do this!", and from a more aesthetic/philosophical point of view
