>he loves Pynchon
>he lauds V.
>he hasnt read Stone Junction
Whats your excuse, /lit/?
>>8508545
What's the connection between Pynchon and this book, besides the introduction?
>>8508567
Post modern. Zany characters. Length of the book. Humorous but great prose.
>>8508612
Ok cool, I think I'll check it out. You don't have to be such a dick about it though.

How was i a dick?
Read it a couple of years ago. Great book

Also excellent. Sorely underrated novella with better characters than Stone Junction IMO

Thanks OP this is my next purchase.
I highly rec reading Dashiell Hammett's Blood Harvest.
Pynchon namedrops Dashiell in reference to Stencil so I decided to look it up and holy hell is a great hardboiled novel.
You can find the whole thing online for free if you google Blood Harvest pdf (besides Pynchon its influence spans from Kurosawa to George Lucas).
It's a shame someone as talented as Pynchon wasted himself on pomo.
