How's lit speed up their reading?
I'm currently at around 500 wpm. Any faster and comprehension begins to degrade. Any tips?

I'm sorry to interrupt, but why speeding?

read a summary beforehand or skim once before reading
terrible if youre a plotfag but knowing the framework everything fits into beforehand saves so much time

Read quickly, more books at once. I'm not strictly "speed-reading", just want to increase my speed without harming my comprehension

Supposedly to beat the death clock, get wise asap so you can live wise asap, can't wait half a lifetime to have adequate knowledge to do the right things.
At least that's why I would speedread if I did. I much prefer reading each book at its own pace.

Subvocalize as little as possible.

>he fell for the meme
>it's ok for familiar non-fiction subjects
>fiction requires deep reading

Reading fast is only acceptable with fiction. If you are reading non-fiction read as slowly as possible, take notes, read aloud if you can.

Most speeding is caused by inviting speed enticement layouts and or by setting limits far lower than a safe reading speed. It is our experience that most speeding is created by the authorities who then gain from it. Either unwittingly or knowingly, a failure to query why a site attracts so much speeding revenue, is an appalling failure of duty.
