Why does no one write plays in poetic verse anymore? It's all boring realism nowadays. I want to see some modern movies in iambic pentameter, with some creative, heightened language.

I think it'd probably be seen as pseud or cocky.
Get famous for a good philosophical novel then do it.

>Shakespeare's Macbeth
Blow, wind!
Come, wrack!

>No Fear Shakespeare Macbeth
Blow wind!
Come ruin!
At least we're die with our armor on.

it would only be seen as pseuds by pseuds, people who can't accept that someone is more accomplished or more intelligent they

Writing a really good and pretentious play should be /lit/'s next major crowd project!!!!

My vote is to make the plane scene from dark knight rises into poetry at 8000 feet

This is actually pretty sad that someone this smart is wasting their time on memes on 4chan. Either that, or it's hilarious and amazing. Legit 11/10.
