Haven't read the cantos- earlier stuff only. His Chinese 'translations' are good, but then they have a sense of narrative to them- I still can't see what's great about them as poetry. Aside from some things being 2deep4me, I think it's also the lack of obvious rhythm that throws me off.

Damn it all! all this our South stinks peace.

In hot summer have I great rejoicing
