Are knowledge and culture unnatural -and ultimately harmful- to people who aren't highly gifted?
Is culture a meme that only breeds try hards or is it something that we should seek to integrate more to society?
Are threads that start with yes or no questions simply a thinly veiled attempt on the OPs part to pass off their opinion as a topic of discussion?
Is the answer to the previous question "yes"?

This is actually a surprisingly interesting question. A lot of pretentious people are served badly by the insistence that more people should be held to the standards of high culture.

'high culture' hasnt existed since the nobility went extinct in Europe. Some of its constituent parts might survive in a few persons or institutions, such as England's royal family, prep schools, the Vatican, or in some wealthy families of the American South, but by and large it is gone forever.
