Hey /lit/, I'm going to be living monastically at a Buddhist temple in China for a couple months soon. What's some essential Buddhist or Chinese lit I should bring?

Pali canon XD
take the little red book and remind the monks they are parasitic reactionaries
aren't mainland temples mostly a honeypot?

>There are some temples that have internationally-run organizations that have UN deals to not have any mainland government interference
>being this naive
oh anon...

I appreciate the concern anon, but I'm well aware of the dangers. But I am relying on you to watch the catalog in case I get sent to a prison farm. It's set to a deadman's switch to make a shitpost of Kierkegaard wearing sunglasses if I'm taken. If you see the signal, contact the embassy for me

Will do anon. Also, have you ever been to China? I was there for six weeks and I thought it kind of sucked.

Nope, never even left the U.S. I'm not really surprised that you thought it sucked though, I don't have any romanticizations of it or Chinese culture in general. I'm curious though, what didn't you like about it?
