>I guess, so, well, yup, uh...
>THIS IS NOT AN EXIT.
What the fuck did I just read? (Should I watch the film?)
>current year
>not watched American Psycho

I've just put off watching it for years saying I was going to read it first.

While Christian Bale is who I see when I read the book, I think the film is worse. Obviously it couldn't be as graphic but something else is missing as well. And I hated the stupid chase at the end where suddenly everything is from the girls perspective.

That par tin the book made me rock hard, how ellis transitions from first person to third it's fucking great
Should I read this if the adaptation is my favorite film ? Christian Bale's performance is the thing I like the most about it, so I've been undecided.

OP here, it's pretty fucking good. I felt like I was in his mind at times, and nearing the end things get really depersonalized/crazy, something I imagine could only be effectively executed with writing. Also feel free to skip the long ass chapters on music reviews as they only seem to be there to BE there,

Nah, I like music reviews. I'm pretty much Patrick Bateman when I'm introducing people to new music.

I listened to a little bit of the audiobook a few months back. The guy is pretty good comparatively speaking. I had to stop because he kept giving me boners at work. Damn courtney sounds fine
