What's that word for when a character has achieved a sudden sense of meaning?
Similar to closure, enlightenment or epiphany, I can't quite place it. I want to say it starts with a C.
Hell, maybe the word doesn't even exist.
climax

It's not necessarily an ending but it does imply that feeling of sudden revelation that could be tied to climax
catharsis?
realisation?

I made that word specifically for you thread's request. You may use it in your work, OP, but ONLY if you cite 'Smartboi' (aka me) as the source of this term.
Thank you,
Smartboi.

Anagnorisis not catharsis, catharsis is a purgation of negative emotion in the audience caused by the downfall of a tragic agent.
Anagnorisis is the moment where the tragic agent realises the nature of their hamartia (tragic flaw) and it normally comes paired with a moment of perepeteia (a turning point). For example, the moment where Iocasta runs off from Oedipus and Oedipus realises what he's done is a moment of anagnorisis that also represents the perepeteia to the final act of Oedipus Rex.

glad to have caused a feeling of catharsis in you
Catharsis is the purgation of repressed emotions, especially fear and pity.
