Which would be a better read to get a grasp of ancient mythologies, Bulfinch's mythology or Edith Hamilton's mythology?
Bumping because I'm trying to get my read on, but can't act until you guys make my decision for me.
Bulfinch

lmao ya get edith
Edith. You get a bit of Norse thrown in for free, and she tells you a bit about the poets.
Both
Read Hesiod for Greek, and the relevant epics for whichever mythologies.

I just wanted a quick and encompassing run through before starting with the ancient texts for a bit more familiarity
Edith Hamilton's. Bulfinch isn't a very good overview, but could be fun if you like the way it's written.

Yeah I've been reading Bulfinch's since I posted this, and while it is entertaining I don't feel I'm getting a grand scope of the entire mythos.
I chose his because I couldn't find Hamilton's online anywhere for free. Does anyone know where I can download it?
