Has anyone read this? When does it get amazing/mindblowing, etc.
I've heard ridiculously good things and so far it's just edgelord rambling.

You got memed on senpai.
His poetry expresses everything in that book much more succinctly.
>it's just edgelord rambling.
Bingo.
It's edgelord rambling with great prose, basically.
Listen to >>8357461 and read his poems, especially The Message.

its literally like two guys from r9k that masturbate to that book
it's hot garbage
undoubtedly the worst /lit/ rec i've gotten

Reading it now. It's... incoherent. It doesn't have much sense. It makes me think that as this guy is going through his day he randomly gets some thoughts and pulls out a notebook, writes them down, carries on; and he does this for about a year and then this is the book.
Usually I love "edgelord ramblings" but this is... bleh.
Rather read No Longer Human by Dazai.
you'll only get it if you read the original tbqh, i'm fluent in portuguese and Pessoa's writing is just too good to be translated
Good to know. I'll just keep it as one of my bathroom books to take bits and pieces from while I take a dump sometimes. I won't commit.
Can anyone recommend any other Pessoa? I'm not really into poetry.
It's better in portuguese

Eh, Portuguese is my native language too and that book is still boring af. The prose is great, but that is a granted with Pessoa. His talent is just wasted on those edgy, empty ramblings.
I read 35% of this then gave up. I really loved it, but it made me feel so sad and apathetic that I couldn't read on. I like his views on art though
