Read up on mu'tazila school of Islam
They were basically enlightened as fuck
Didn't care for Quran and favored rationality and reason, nowadays 'mu'tazilite' is used as a pejorative word for moderates by the ISIS folks

>mu'tazila school of Islam
Thanks lad. Why don't they make a comeback? For moderates in Turkey and Syria n shit it must be quit tempting to claim to follow that ancient school while us it to bring moderate progress:
Does that make sense?

I've no clue
I'm thinking I will try to go into politics and try to drive a cause of making mu'tazila school the official school of Islam in Europe, as in what kind of Islam is allowed to be taught in schools and mosques
Europe will be absolutely fucked if the shia/sunni arguments are brought over from Near-Asia, as they seem to be, bit by bit
The finnish shia and sunni leaders won't even agree to see each other, I'm a bit concerned for when they start multiplying
bumping this cuz interested in based islam

Thanks. What else are some moderate non-crazy schools of Islam?

Sufism brah.
But really, nah',there aren't as many redeeming thoughts in Islam as I see it.
Atleast nothing that would warrant my attention more than stoicism or Zen Buddhism (if we're talking lifestyle guidance) or just modern philosophy (if we're talking thoughts about thoughts).
I would not suggest you spend too much time on Islamic studies.

Are Sufis monks? Can they marry and sex?
>if we're talking lifestyle guidance
It's still a religion.
