I'm looking to start Crime and Punishment, and it will be my first time reading a translated book of this magnitude.
Up until recently, the standard translation seems to have been held by P&V.
Has anyone read the newer Oliver Ready edition?
I've read both. P&V is better IMO.

Isn't it about Jews?
Don't read it then. I only read redpilled books that make me feel happy about being white and a fat virgin.

I'm in the same position as OP.
Why do you think P&V is better?
Every lit review I've found online says otherwise

crime and punishment directed by tim burton starring johnny depp as raskolnikov
You shouldn't ask /lit/ about this. Just google it and you should find reliable reviews and comparisons.
-Someone who constantly reads translated books of this magnitude that he has to research himself due to a non-English native language

Oliver Ready's translation is good. His introduction + notes are fairly insightful as well. Particularly liked his introduction.
I'd go with him if you aren't dead set on another translation.

The cover is awful but don't let it put you off, most books have shitty covers anyway.
