>not knowing what the term "art book" means a genre
it's a pity you're never going to buy debord's memoires, because you really deserve that on your shelves.
>>8317652
i'd just throw it through a window anyway
Do they have a book with Romantic art or with Bosch's art?
>>8317656
debord would be proud.
>>8317664
Never mind I see they do.
>they think reading les situationistes et les lettristes in anything but french is gonna give them any insight about what they were saying
oh là là
>>8317684
>he thinks imagist bauhaus and the london psychogeographical society weren't the first people debord invited to alba

the staple: art since 1900
anything greenberg (avant garde and kitsch is a must)
art history vs aesthetics
against interpretation by sontag
painting as model by yve alain-bois
anything rosalind krauss
relational aesthetics by bourriard
winckelmann, wollflin, panofksy, hauser, tj clark, warburg, didi-huberman etc
>>8317735
>no foster
uwot
>>8317741

>>8317769
>what is variety
>>8317785
if you were trying for less than a surface understanding of art history, you succeeded, but that is not synonymous with variety.
>>8317792
sure. i'm glad i'm out of grad school, so many fuckers like you, jesus.
>>8317805
you compared hal foster to the octoberists, you deserve to be shat on from a great height. you also thought "art books"="art theory books". i hope it wasn't an art/design/art history grad program, because if it was you should be demanding all your money back and suing your undergrad school too.
>>8317721
>no one gets your epic puns
a pun is not a pun if it isnt shared.
>>8317301
imo, Hatje Cantz is the best publishing house specializing in art books
>>8317735

You can easily torrent every Taschen book in existence. I would guess the force majeure behind owning them is to showcase that you pay attention to _______, and trendiness of course.

Where do you reckon? Checked a lot of the normal places.
I got the Phaidon one on Bosch. Picture quality is ok, though in a smaller format then Taschen. Not an expert in the area at all but I enjoyed Laurinda Dixon's write up.
>>8319483
Not him but Rutracker has a 10gb torrent. Only goes up to 2013 though, I don't think it has everything before it either but it's a start.
some of mine
>>8319499
Ya I forgot to check through that.

>>8317641
