I thought it was a little dry at times but enjoyable overall. I especially like it in the context of Golding's other works, considering his interest in human nature in extreme, survivalist situations.

yeah I agree, can you recommend any more william golding? So far i've read LOTF, the inheritors and this. Was gonna continue in chronological order but he's 4th book doesnt really interest me, not sure why. But then again if i enjoyed his first 3 books then why not his fourth...
