The value-form stuff can be difficult to grasp and might seem like a bunch of mental masturbation but you really need to grasp the substance of value to properly understand the "transformation problem" attacks on Marx. It's not an issue in the immediate process of production but when you get to volume 3 the discrepancy arising between the current socially necessary labour time of actually reproducing goods and their purely fictitious capitalized current value which actually really characterizes capitalist exchange relations becomes important.
Wikipedia actually has good articles on Marxists economics so you can try looking at stuff you don't understand:

In what way? Adam Smith is surly superior to the narrowness of Ricardo and understood the categories of political economy in a more broad sense but he has multiple value conceptions throughout the WON which causes all kinds of confusion
Listen to "Fernando" by ABBA while reading to reach proper revolutionary fervor.

Make sure you've read the following first:
Wage, Labour, and Capital
Value, Price, and Profit
1844 Manuscripts
Then you should be pretty gud 2bhfam. I recommend having a Companian to help you along first time though, David Harvey's series is preferable. Harvey also does has a Youtube channel with lectures about Das Kapital as well, so that'll help you.
