Focuses on the Pacific theater. I thought it was pretty objective, maybe I'm wrong: read-it back when I was 17 (still a shit-head kid, should probably re-read it).

Armageddon by Max Hastings is pretty good.
Makes fun of the British/US citizen soldiers versus the more soldierly Germans and the ruthless Russkies. Pokes holes in the 'Montgomery and Patton were military geniuses' meme. Points out where Montgomery was overly cautious and Patton was stalled on the German border and slow to react at the Battle of the Bulge.

Not quite 'Hitler did nothing wrong" but does recognize the military skill of the Germans.
