What's the best way to learn more about poetry? I love a good poem but my critical understanding never evolves beyond "ooh, that's pretty". Id like to better understand how poems are structured and how different elements are weaves together in a given piece.
So, what are the best books or websites devoted to the study of poetry?

But OP, I tend to agree its not something worth analyzing too much if that is your goal. Just read as the others have said, reflect on your own experiences, and then read some more.
