i like continental philosophy because it's fun to read, but then i have better taste than 99% of the people here

Analytical philosophy is a movement in it, but there is no such thing as continental philosophy, unless if by it we mean everything which isn't Russel/Wittgenstein/others like them.

The latter. Anyone who's well read in both knows that the distinction is a political one at best. Take for example cognitive science: it can be approached both from an Analytical point of view and from a Phenenological pov. Both are productive and they complement rather than exclude each other. But love of wisdom, which is what philosophy means rather than knowledge of wisdom or whatever people imagine it to be, requires that those who want to practice it must give up on being frustrated manchildren caught in their own power-enjoyment-thought recurrent production of dismissals (usually fallacious and reductionistic) that make them feel better about their reactive identity. It's easier said than done.
