Mary Shelley wrote one of the greatest books of all time

Explain how genre fiction is inherently wrong?

Why is Mary Shelley considered by academia to be one of the greatest authors of all time and Stephen King is considered by academia to be a hack? (not Stephen King specifically, just modern horror/science fiction/fantasy/mystery/romance/crime/young adult/whatever in general)

>inherently wrong

>Stephen King is considered by academia to be a hack
