Is there a word for something that pretends to be more artful

Pretentious literally means that, and can be applied to works and people:
adjective
adjective: pretentious
attempting to impress by affecting greater importance, talent, culture, etc., than is actually possessed.

Maybe kitsch too? But kitsch can be non-pretentious
