Can you recommend me some /lit/ male authors who don't just write about themselves and their personal struggles and don't indulge in portraying themselves but write about one or many people unlike them in a way that seeks to understand rather than judge them.

he's right. I can name probably 10 authors who write like this, and then the male authors who don't do this are pretty much everything on my bookshelf and in my 1000 strong amazon wishlist
