Are most people on here actually intelligent and well read or are most of the people here pretentious and only pretend to have read the novels?

I read when I have time, it's fun to see books that you've read being discussed.
A lot of people on here are intelligent and well-read but they waste it all on poisonous attitudes and self-loathing.
Some people will say yes and they will be lying.
Some people will say no and they will be telling the truth.
Some people will say no and they will be lying.
Some people will say yes and they will be telling the truth.
Bloody stupid question, really.

I'd like to think I'm reasonably bright, but I'm no genius. I've never been to uni and my ADHD prevents me from reading as often as I'd like.

That's pretty much all of 4chan I've seen. There is always a palpable sense of infighting, hatred, and elitism.

This place is terrible. It's caustic and derisive. Yet I return here again and again out of habit or sheer boredom, I can't differentiate them anymore.
I have read novels.

More like your taste in memes is shit on /tv/
Why would people be here if they weren't at least half-assedly interested in books/literature?

Well everyone knows that we all want validation by anonymous people of our taste in books no one irl cares about
