Most books people talk about a lot are likely to be pretty well-regarded, if not here than elsewhere, so there's a fair chance of you enjoying them.
I guess the exception is the kind of book that people only talk about because it's shit, but those are pretty rare really.
This. Every Stephen King, John Green and other YA I've read have been absolutely fantastic!

I actually really enjoyed this, but having read a bit more widely since, I can now see its limitations. I think it still deserves a place on /lit/ but it is quite entry core.

i feel like it would be more interesting to people who weren't already into the "weirder" ideas (time travel being meta etc)
also bluebeard is his only good book :^)
