Mockingbird is a fine book, but I don't know that it should be anyone's *favorite* book.

Its not as bad as people say. Its just racially difficult. It doesn't present white people saving the poor blacks like TKAM or Huckleberry Finn. It has some nice passages. A little rough. A draft , yes, but a draft by a great writer.

Not as bad as people say. Some very nice passages some clunky parts. Atticus us a kindly bigot. Its not as overtly:white people end racism! As TKaM or Huck Finn.
